1. Your authority to contribute
By submitting, you confirm that you are at least 18, the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and you own it or have authority to share it for the purposes described here. If you submit for a practice or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.
2. Do not submit patient or restricted information
You agree not to submit patient names, medical-record details, birth dates, home addresses, prescription numbers, barcodes, payment credentials or other information that identifies a patient. You also agree not to submit trade secrets, materials covered by a confidentiality obligation, or third-party content you lack permission to share. Redact supporting documents before uploading them.
3. Permission to review and analyze
You grant Discretionary Health a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, normalize, analyze, compare, verify and otherwise use your contribution to operate the service, create your private report, improve our data and methods, investigate disputes, and produce de-identified or aggregated benchmarks and market intelligence.
This permission does not transfer ownership of your original materials. It continues for as long as needed for these purposes, subject to applicable law and the withdrawal process below.
4. What may be published
- Consumer or purchaser prices: reviewed facts may be included in de-identified or aggregated benchmarks. We will not publicly display your contact information or raw supporting document.
- Provider-submitted facts: submissions are labeled internally as provider-contributed and reviewed independently. Nonpublic contact details and documents remain internal. If your submission is the sole source for an identified nonpublic fact, we will seek separate approval before publishing that fact unless you clearly provided it for public correction.
- Public links and materials: facts already published at a public source may be cited, summarized and date-stamped as public evidence.
Discretionary Health decides whether and how to use a contribution. Submission does not guarantee publication, correction, attribution, a badge, placement, ranking or a favorable conclusion.
5. Independence and no compensation
You will not be paid for a contribution unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Contributing data does not create a commercial endorsement and cannot purchase placement or influence our methodology, rankings or assessment outcomes. Any benchmark returned to you may be subject to cohort, confidentiality and reuse restrictions.
6. Evidence handling
Supporting documents are restricted to the review process and are not publicly displayed as submitted. We may retain them to support provenance, review history, dispute resolution, abuse prevention and legal obligations. We may create internal notes, hashes or derived facts from them.
7. Withdrawal and corrections
You may request correction or withdrawal by emailing hello@discretionaryhealth.com with enough detail for us to identify the submission. We will act where reasonably possible after verifying your identity and authority. Withdrawal will not require us to remove facts independently verified from another source, reconstruct prior aggregate statistics, or recall licensed data snapshots already delivered to others.
8. Privacy and terms
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Our Terms of Use govern the service generally. If this consent conflicts with the Terms about how a contribution may be used, this consent controls for that contribution.
